Αλέξανδρος Αθανασούλας

Alex is the President of Sustainable Buildings Council of Greece (www.sbcgreece.org), the National Council of the World Green Building Council (www.worldgbc.org), the largest organization in the world for Sustainability in the Built Environment. He is also the President and CEO of STIRIXIS Group (www.stirixisgroup.com), the globally awarded Strategy and Design firm, the Vice President of CEO Clubs Greece (www.ceoclubsgreece.org) Alex holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and an MBA with distinction from Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow. He is certified in Project Management (PRINCE 2), in Strategy and Innovation by the International Customer Service Association (ICSA), and in Board Management and Development by the CEO Clubs School of Leadership Practice.

A sought-after keynote speaker, Alex has delivered over 100 speeches in international conferences and has published extensively in technical and business publications. He has received multiple international awards, among them as “Best European CEO in Retail Development” by the European CEO Awards in 2015, “Best European CEO” in 2018 by AI Global Excellence Awards, “International Game-Changer” by ACQ5 in 2019, “Most Inspiring Business Leaders to Follow” by The Inc Magazine in 2023, and “Highly Commended” for Postgraduate Leadership by the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards in 2024.
